Amy Van Dyken passes hand control driver’s test

On Thursday, Amy Van Dyken continued to inspire with her comeback from paralysis by passing her hands-controlled driving test.

After being paralyzed in an ATV accident over the summer, six-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer Amy Van Dyken has inspired many with her feats of coping with the struggle.

Van Dyken, 41, took her first steps just a couple of months after the accident and vowed to fight through rehabilitation until she walked again.

On Thursday, the Valley resident posted to her Instagram account that she was taking her hands-controlled driving test and then that she had passed, receiving praise from many of her 18,000 followers and using the hashtag #AmysArmy.
