While Anthony stayed at Phoenix Children’s Hospital for chemotherapy treatment, he really enjoyed visits from the service dogs. The only problem — those dogs did not come around every day.

A family friend found a unique solution, creating a Facebook page asking anyone and everyone to post pictures of their dogs and locations for Anthony to enjoy.

By New Year’s Eve, more than 2,000 dog photos submitted by dog owners from Arizona to Australia.

“I cannot express the joy we have gotten from these photos,” creator of the page Roberta Lucero-Koron wrote on the page. “We have looked at each and every photo and video and we laugh and sometimes cry just from the outpouring of support. I will never be able to thank you all enough and all of you are the amazing people that have your best friend pets by your side day in and day out. We are so incredibly thankful for you sharing and loving your pets as much as we love ours. Thank you thank you thank you.”

Anthony is back in the hospital for chemo and will be there for about a week. He just turned 16 and is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The family set up a fundraiser page for Anthony to help cover medical costs.
