Fire damages 4 mobile homes in Mesa

A fire damaged four mobile homes in Mesa and displaced seven people who lived in the units early Saturday morning.

The Mesa Fire Department responded to a call near Dobson and Baseline just after 1 a.m. and took 20 minutes to stop the flames from spreading to other mobile homes. Three mobile homes were completely damaged while a fourth was deemed uninhabitable, according to Forrest Smith of the Mesa Fire Department.

The Red Cross responded to help the victims of the fire.

One woman, who lived in the mobile home where the fire began, was taken to the hospital with minor burns and respiratory problems.

Crews are investigating how the fire started.
