The Waste Management Phoenix Open added to its constantly growing record book Saturday.

The third-round attendance of 189,722 set an all-time single-day record in professional golf history, according to a press release, and was the third-straight day that the tournament had set an attendance record.

Held at the TPC Scottsdale, the Waste Management Phoenix Open’s previous single-day mark was 179,022, set last year. If at least 35,580 people attend the final round on Sunday, the tournament will break its total attendance record of 538,356 — set in 2008.

The TPC Scottsdale would have been Arizona’s eighth-most populous city on Saturday, and the attendance number was almost 28,000 more than the number of people living in Tempe.
