One dead after being struck by multiple vehicles on Loop 101

A woman is dead after she was struck by multiple vehicles on the 101 westbound.

According to Bart Graves, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety, the first reports came in around 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning. DPS had reports of a four-door vehicle blocking a lane on the Loop 101 westbound around Hayden with no lights on.

A woman in the disabled vehicle had got out of her car at some point and was struck by at least three different vehicles.

All the vehicles were cooperative and stayed on the scene. No impairment is suspected of any of the drivers.

The 101 westbound at Hayden was shut down to continue the investigation.

DPS arrived on the scene and found that an SUV had collided with the disabled vehicle.

The driver of the SUV said that he did not see the vehicle in the roadway and the same was said by those who struck the woman.
