Weekend Valley freeway travel advisory for Dec. 18-21

PHOENIX — According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the following travel advisories have been issued for the weekend of Dec. 18:

• Interstate 17 frontage roads will be closed in both directions in areas between Jefferson Street and 19th Avenue from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for traffic-signal installation.
  • I-17 on- and off-ramps in the area will also be closed at times. 
  • Grant Street will also be closed at I-17 on Saturday and Buckeye Road will be closed between 19th and 27th avenues on Sunday.

• Interstate 17 off-ramps at Union Hills Drive will be restricted with lane closures from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for APS power line project.
  • Union Hills Drive will also be narrowed to one lane in both directions between I-17 and 23rd Avenue.
