According to Business Insider, Arizona ranks near the middle of all states in the annual income for millennials.

That number is $20,800. Despite the lowest number in the country being only $18,000 in Montana, Arizona is around the average number.

Only four areas are above $25,000. Maryland, Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Colombia are those places, with D.C. having the highest number by far at $43,000.

The data comes from the Minnesota Population Center’s 2014 “American Community Survey” in the Integrated Public Use Microdata Series. Business Insider used the Pew Research Center’s definition of millennials: Americans born between 1981 and 1997.
