PHOENIX — It doesn’t get any sweeter than this: A classic downtown Phoenix ice cream parlor appears to be ready to reopen, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.

Mary Coyle Ol’ Fashion Ice Cream appears to get ready to reopen on Seventh Street near Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. The company’s Facebook posted a photo on Dec. 3 of the parlor’s sign with the caption “coming soon,” leading long-time fans to believe the shop will reopen.

The location closed last year after originally opening in 1951. According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the empty storefront is currently housing food service equipment. There is no date set yet for the reopening.
