A Phoenix man intervened a burglary of his own commercial work vehicle by firing shots from a handgun in the air and later chasing down the victim and firing additional shots.

The man, 41-year-old Pedro Sales, saw the 28-year-old female suspect steal two pieces of construction equipment from his commercial work vehicle, which led to Sales firing shots in the air and causing the suspect to flee.

Sales went on to chase the suspect in a different vehicle and fired additional shots at the suspect when he located her, striking her at least once and causing a non life-threatening injury.
