PHOENIX — Six people were taken to a hospital, including one in critical condition Monday after a multivehicle accident at a west Phoenix intersection.
Phoenix Police shut down 43rd Avenue at Interstate 10 in each direction to investigate the rollover, which was caused when a driver fleeing a traffic stop raced a mile up the road before he smashed into a vehicle in the intersection.
43rd Avenue exit from I-10 East remains closed. Drivers from WB I-10 can only turn north (right) at 43rd Avenue. Use 35th or 51st Ave exit.
