Smelly escape: Flagstaff, Ariz. police officers save skunk from trap

PHOENIX — Well, this is not something you see everyday.

Police officers in Flagstaff, Arizona, were recently on patrol when they came across a skunk with its head stuck in a paper cup.

A video posted on the Flagstaff Police Department Facebook page showed two officers trying to sneakily take it down with a blanket.

After a period of close stalking, the officers were eventually able to capture the confused, little skunk with the blanket.

Luckily, they were able to save the skunk — and themselves — from becoming a smelly mess.

“You’re welcome, little dude!” one of the officers shouted toward the skunk, who went about his day as if nothing ever happened.
