Triple-A offering free holiday tow service for tipsy drivers

Holiday weekend can be a dangerous time to be on the road.

To make sure drivers get home safely, Triple-A is offering their free Tipsy Tow service, which will take a maximum of two people — plus their vehicle — home.

“We understand that when people are drinking and driving, a lot of times they may not want to leave a vehicle behind and so we want to remove that challenge from the equation and offer a safe alternative and hopefully make the roads safer for everyone,” said Michelle Dembowski with Triple-A of Arizona.

The service includes a tow up to 10 miles. Anything over that limit will be subject to standard tow rates.

The service is available until Monday at 6:00 a.m. Interested drivers should call (800) AAA-HELP.
