All pet adoptions free at Arizona Humane Society for 1 day

Looking for a new furry family member? The Arizona Humane Society is offering free adoptions for all 350 adoptable pets across its three locations on Saturday.

The one-day special comes after a record-breaking summer for AHS and is part of its goal to find homes for 1,500 sick, injured and abused pets throughout October.

One of the pets looking for a forever home is a 1-year-old Labrador retriever named Maddie. She has been in AHS’ care for almost 150 days after being rescued in May as an injured stray.

She was treated at the organization’s Lazin Animal Foundation Trauma Hospital for an eye injury and puppy cold before living in a foster home.

Pets who are available for adoption can be viewed online.
