Two suspects sought after $93K worth of high-end items, MLB gear stolen from storage unit

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who stole approximately $93,000 worth of property, including player-issued Major League Baseball gear and high-end sneakers, from a storage unit in Phoenix last month.

The burglary occurred Sept. 27 between 3:06 p.m. and 10:22 p.m. at a storage facility located near 24th Street and Campbell Avenue, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Investigators said two unknown suspects unlawfully entered a storage unit belonging to a former MLB player.

The suspects removed high-end purses, collector’s shoes, multiple laptop computers and authentic MLB player-issued gear before fleeing the scene.

On Thursday, Silent Witness released surveillance images of the suspects in a flyer seeking tips.

The first suspect is described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt and a gray baseball cap. The second suspect is described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information regarding the burglary or the identity of the suspects is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377). Callers can also dial 480-TESTIGO (480-837-8446) for Spanish.

All calls to Silent Witness remain anonymous, and tips leading to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward.
