1 hospitalized after being stung more than 100 times by bees at home in Goodyear

One person was taken to a hospital after being stung by bees more than 100 times in Goodyear on Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Crews were called to a home in the area of Sarival Avenue and Van Buren Street around 5 p.m. for reports of three people being stung by bees, according to the Goodyear Fire Department.

One of them was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, but the other two declined transport.

Firefighters used foam on the bee hive and the city is contacting the homeowner to have a company remove the hive.
