Schnepf Farms adds new attractions for Pumpkin & Chili Party

The Pumpkin & Chili Party at Queen Creek’s Schnepf Farms is going big for its 85th anniversary celebration, as it will add five new rides, expanded attractions and new food experiences ahead of this season’s opening on Oct. 1.

This year’s investment represents one of the most significant expansions in Schnepf Farms’ long history. These are the five new rides that will be added:

• The Peach Pit (drop tower)
• Schnepf Giant Slide
• Barnyard Stampede (roller coaster)
• Barnstormers (classic 1950s-style paratrooper attraction)
• The Coffee Cup Swirl (classic teacup ride)

Staple attractions such as the corn maze, petting zoo and Hillbilly Bob’s Pig Races will return, as will the farm’s famous chili, freshly baked cinnamon rolls, succotash, barbecue, burgers and specialty desserts.

Additionally, new food experiences like a taco bar, potato bar and caramel apple cider slushy will be available. The Pumpkin & Chili Party is also bringing back the Phoenix Raceway Pedal Car Challenge, which NASCAR driver Noah Gragson will reintroduce at the Sept. 30 media day.

“This celebration is about much more than adding rides,” Mark and Carrie Schnepf said in a press release. “It is about investing in the future of the farm so families can continue making memories here for generations to come.”

The festival will run throughout October and is open Wednesday through Sunday.

There are multiple ticketing options available: $28.95 for general admission, $99 for a season pass, $132 for an upgraded season pass and $239 for the ultimate family ticket pass. General admission for firefighters, police, military personnel and veterans is $15, and guests younger than 2 get in for free.

Schnepf Farms is located near Riggs and Rittenhouse roads in Queen Creek.
