4 hospitalized, 1 detained after ‘isolated’ shooting in Mesa, police say

Four people were hospitalized and another detained after a shooting in Mesa on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Officers were called to the area of Center Street and McKellips Road around 6 p.m. for reports of a shooting, according to the Mesa Police Department.
When police arrived at the scene, they found three men and one woman suffering from injuries. They were all taken to a nearby hospital and their conditions are unknown.
Preliminary information indicated the shooting was an isolated incident, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
