Vehicle crashed through residential wall into backyard pool in Gilbert

An investigation is underway after a vehicle crashed through a residential wall and into a backyard pool in Gilbert on Saturday, authorities said.

According to the Gilbert Police Department, officers responded to the crash near Elliot Road and Ocean Drive around 11 a.m.

Police said the vehicle had left the roadway and crashed through the wall and into the pool. Upon arrival, officers helped the person out of the vehicle.

No one was injured in the crash. Impairment is suspected to be a factor in the crash, police said.
