Motorcyclist dies after collision involving car near overpass in Phoenix

A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car near an overpass in Phoenix on Sunday morning, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, police and Phoenix Fire personnel responded around 5:30 a.m. to a vehicle-motorcycle crash on Cactus Road near its overpass with State Route 51.

Upon arrival, first responders found the driver of the vehicle and the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital and later died.

The identities of the motorcyclist and the driver of the vehicle have not been revealed.
