Gap Factory, Ann Taylor Factory, Sierra coming to Desert Ridge

Three major national retailers are heading to north Phoenix as Desert Ridge Marketplace expands its lineup of fashion and value-focused shopping options.

Gap Factory, Ann Taylor Factory and Sierra are set to open new storefronts at the outdoor shopping center near Tatum Boulevard and Loop 101. Combined, the trio will bring more than 30,000 square feet of retail space to the complex.

First up is Gap Factory, which is scheduled to open its doors in September. The American apparel brand will move into an 8,500-square-foot location, featuring clothing for men, women, kids and babies.

Ann Taylor Factory will follow later in the fall. The women’s fashion retailer plans to open an approximately 5,000-square-foot store in November, offering professional and everyday apparel and accessories.

Rounding out the additions is Sierra, formerly known as Sierra Trading Post. The off-price outdoor, fitness and apparel brand will occupy a 20,000-square-foot storefront scheduled to open in spring 2027.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Gap Factory, Ann Taylor Factory and Sierra to Desert Ridge Marketplace,” Jenny Cushing, vice president of leasing at Vestar, said in a press release. “These additions reflect our continued focus on curating a dynamic mix of fashion, value and lifestyle experiences that resonate with a wide range of shoppers and further strengthen the destination’s appeal in north Phoenix.”

What else is coming to Desert Ridge?

The retail additions build on recent dining and grocery expansion at the north Phoenix destination.

Desert Ridge recently welcomed Japanese noodle concept Kajiken and Michelin-recognized restaurant Nadu Regional Indian.

Looking ahead, travel-inspired cocktail lounge Globe in the Dark is expected to open in September, while Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is scheduled for early 2027. A new Trader Joe’s location is also in the pipeline for the center.
