6 people, including 4 children, injured in Mesa crash

Six people, including four children, were injured in a car crash in Mesa Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Police responded to the crash near Country Club Drive and McKellips Road just before 3 p.m., according to the Mesa Police Department.

Police said the crash involved two vehicles, with one carrying four children.

Everyone involved in the crash, including one adult who sustained serious injuries, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is underway to determine if impairment was a factor in the crash.
