Man found in ‘extremely critical condition’ after fight broke out at Maryvale soccer game

A 19-year-old man was hospitalized in extremely critical condition after being attacked by multiple people on Thursday night, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of an unconscious man found in a field near Sueno Park in Maryvale, which is near 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, around 8 p.m.

The man was playing soccer game when a fight broke out, during which several suspects assaulted the man, police said.

The suspects reportedly ran away, and the Phoenix Fire Department responded to bring the man to a nearby hospital.

This is an active investigation.
