Small plane crash near Chandler Municipal Airport leaves 1 dead

A person is dead after a small plane crashed near Chandler Municipal Airport on Tuesday night.

ABC15 reported that the plane went down near Queen Creek and McQueen roads around 7:50 p.m.

Chandler Fire officials confirmed that the crash resulted in at least one fatality.

Information about the person’s identity was not released.

It is not clear what led to the fatal incident as the investigation is ongoing.
