New owners of Club West Golf Course shop the site; D.R. Horton eyes 162-acre parcel

After paying $2.1 million for the Club West Golf Club in Ahwatukee in May, a coalition of investors and real estate developers now plan to sell it — offering the latest twist in a years-long saga for the golf course.

All best and final offers are due later this week for the 162-acre parcel of prime land in far south Phoenix, said Phillip Rupprecht, the attorney representing the Community Harmony Coalition LLC, the new owners of the beleaguered course.

On May 29, Community Harmony Coalition paid $2.1 million for the 162-acre, 18-hole golf course and 11,196-square-foot clubhouse at 16400 S. 14th Ave., according to Tempe-based real estate database Vizzda LLC. The seller was The Edge at Club West LLC, which had paid $750,000 to Kwang Co. LLC/Hiro Investment LLC et al., an entity tracing to Wilson Gee, for the property on June 1, 2020, according to Vizzda.

The property is now being listed by Scottsdale-based Nathan & Associates Inc.
