Tow truck driver dead after fiery crash into barrier wall on East Valley freeway
A tow truck driver died Thursday morning after a fiery crash on the Loop 101 Price Freeway in Chandler, authorities said.

A tow truck driver died Thursday morning after a fiery crash on an East Valley freeway, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 3 a.m. on the southbound Loop 101 Price Freeway near Ray Road, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The tow truck struck an impact-absorbing attenuator and continued into a barrier wall before bursting into flames, DPS said.
The driver was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The right lanes of southbound Loop 101 were closed temporarily around the crash site for the investigation, but the roadway was cleared before 6:40 a.m.
