Consumer Cellular Inc. has signed the largest Phoenix metro office lease of the year.

The no-contract wireless phone services provider will combine multiple teams into the 123,340-square-foot 8501 Raintree office building in north Scottsdale. Consumer Cellular will be taking over the entire building at 8501 E. Raintree Dr., the company’s CEO Ed Evans told the Business Journal.

Jonathan Keyser of Keyser Commercial Real Estate represented Consumer Cellular in the 15-year lease deal. Jeff Rifkin of Keyser Commercial Real Estate was the tenant project manager. Bryan Taute of JLL represented the owner of the building, Tryperion Holdings.

Consumer Cellular will bring call center workers, marketing, technical, executive and administrative teams to its new office building.

“We started to look at the next 10 years for the company, it just makes a lot more sense to have a centralized location that has both call center components in it and corporate headquarters … So the facility at Raintree is kind of bringing that all together for us,” Evans said.
