Man allegedly kills cousin in Peoria shooting
A man was arrested for the alleged shooting of his cousin in Peoria on Thursday, authorities said.

A man was arrested for the alleged shooting of his cousin in Peoria on Thursday, authorities said.
Officers responded to a residence near Beardsley Road and 83rd Avenue for reports of the shooting around 9:30 a.m.
The suspect, 23-year-old Nickolas Benson, left the home “armed with a firearm and experiencing an apparent crisis” as officers were at the scene, according to the Peoria Police Department.
Benson was arrested without incident.
Police found 22-year-old Justice Parton dead inside the home and later learned that Benson and Parton were cousins.
Two other people were in the home at the time and not injured, authorities said.
No other information was immediately available.
