Baby Ollie expected to make full recovery after Phoenix Amber Alert; parents not charged

The infant at the center of an Amber Alert is expected to make a full recovery, and no arrests have been made, authorities said.

The Phoenix Police Department issued the alert for Ollie Olson, a 5-day-old white male, who is 18 inches tall and five pounds, because the infant had been taken from a medical clinic by his parents without being medically cleared.

At around 11:15 a.m., officers responded to the clinic near 30th Street and McDowell Road because of the incident and requested the issuance of the alert via the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The child was under critical care when the parents left the facility, police said. Detectives from the Missing Persons Unit and Child Crimes Unit took over the investigation, and the Amber Alert was issued after all available leads were exhausted, according to police.

Shortly after the alert was issued, the child was found in Mohave County, both parents were detained and Ollie was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Both parents were interviewed by local law enforcement, but no arrests have been made, according to the Phoenix Police Department. The Arizona Department of Child Safety is also conducting its own investigation.

The Phoenix Police Department are working with the local law enforcement to continue the criminal investigation.
