Victim in early-morning shooting in Glendale has died

A man was killed in an early-morning shooting near 59th and Missouri avenues in Glendale on Friday, authorities said.

PHOENIX – A man was killed in an early-morning shooting in Glendale on Friday, authorities said.

Officers responded to the area of 59th and Missouri avenues, between Camelback and Bethany Home roads, shortly before 4 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.

They found a man at the scene suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim died after being taken to a hospital, police said.

Nobody else was in the area when officers arrived at the scene.

The stretch of 59th Avenue between Missouri and Oregon avenues was closed for the investigation.
