Arizonans gather around the Valley for ‘No Kings’ protests

PHOENIX — Arizonans gathered throughout the Valley on Saturday to join the “No Kings” protests, demonstrating their opposition to the direction of the country under President Donald Trump.

There were at least 20 protest locations across the Valley on Saturday and 82 across the state, Indivisible Arizona‘s Jessica Marquis told KTAR News 92.3 FM.

“It makes me feel hopeful for once. … I’m a woman and we fought for so long to have our rights, and I am afraid they will be taken away.”

Marquis added there was expected to be “more than 20,000” participants in the “No Kings” protests in downtown Phoenix and a final count will not be available until Sunday.”I hope this will let people know that they are not alone.”

“When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option,” the “No Kings” organization wrote on an event listing for Saturday’s demonstration in central Phoenix. “We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.

“On March 28, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it.”

In October 2025, more than 7,000,000 Americans joined at least 2,700 “No Kings” protests that spanned all 50 states.
