Buckeye man arrested after standoff at apartment complex

PHOENIX — A 21-year-old man is facing felony charges after a standoff with police at a Buckeye apartment complex on Tuesday, authorities said.

Officers responded to the Riverwood Apartment complex near Miller and Beloat roads just after 2 p.m. for a report that a man was threatening to shoot his girlfriend, according to the Buckeye Police Department.

When police arrived at the complex, officers helped the woman and her infant safely leave the apartment. Meanwhile, Andre Holloway barricaded himself in a bedroom and refused to come out, police said.

SWAT officers responded and took Holloway into custody a short time later. Authorities seized two handguns from the home, according to police.

Holloway was booked into jail on charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, threatening, endangerment, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal damage.
