PHOENIX — Contour Airlines will begin nonstop service between Page, Arizona and Las Vegas this summer, cutting travel time between the two cities from about four hours by car to just over an hour by air.

The regional carrier announced Tuesday it will launch flights between Page Municipal Airport and Harry Reid International Airport on July 2, operating four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The 280-mile route will be served by 30-seat regional jets, with morning departures from Page arriving in Las Vegas in 1 hour and 5 minutes. Return flights depart Las Vegas shortly after noon.

“This new route makes it easier for travelers to experience Page’s incredible outdoor destinations while giving residents convenient access to the connectivity and amenities of Las Vegas,” Contour Airlines President Ben Munson said.

Flights depart Page at 9:55 a.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 11 a.m. Return flights leave Las Vegas at 12:15 p.m., arriving in Page at 1:20 p.m.
