Finding that very special someone is often a shot in the dark.

Things don’t work out for whatever reason and you have to move on.

Which is apparently what KFC has decided, this week introducing comedian Norm Macdonald as its new Colonel Sanders, replacing another comedian, Darrell Hammond.

The union between the fast-food company and Hammond lasted 85 days. That at least outpaced Dennis Rodman’s nine-day marriage to Carmen Elektra, but did not live up to the 122-day standard that was the nuptial joy set by Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock.

Macdonald’s first commercial calls out Hammond’s colonel as an imposter.

If this is the start of a revolving door of comics playing the chicken chief, let’s hope it goes better than some of the James Bond recasts.
