Woman arrested in connection with stabbing on light rail train in Tempe

PHOENIX — A woman was arrested Friday in connection with a stabbing on a light rail train in Tempe that left a person injured, authorities said.

The Tempe Police Department identified the woman taken into custody as 34-year-old Allante Wallace.

Wallace was booked into jail on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.

Police said that officers responded to the scene near Apache Boulevard and Dorsey Lane around 9:40 p.m. on Thursday.

Wallace allegedly stabbed someone else during an argument.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Wallace had left the scene before officers arrived, police said.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
