PHOENIX — One lucky Arizona Lottery player will be able to cuddle up with an enormous pile of money as an early Valentine’s Day gift.
That’s because the player’s ticket won $1 million in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.
Lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold at Tony’s Cocktail Lounge, which is near 59th Avenue and Greenway Road in Glendale.
Wednesday’s winning Powerball numbers were 6, 20, 33, 40 and 48, with a red Powerball number 5.
The million-dollar ticket matched four of the five numbers plus the Powerball.
Arizona Lottery winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
When is the next Powerball drawing?
Powerball is a nationwide game of chance with drawings on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights.
Tickets cost $2 and can be purchased at more than 3,000 locations statewide.
The next drawing is on Saturday — Valentine’s Day — with an estimated jackpot of $146 million.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in more than 292 million.
