McDowell Road reopens in Scottsdale after 3-vehicle collision
A stretch of McDowell Road in south Scottsdale was closed for several hours Monday after a three-vehicle collision.

PHOENIX – A stretch of McDowell Road in south Scottsdale was closed for several hours Monday after a three-vehicle collision, authorities said.
Fire crews responded to the scene at McDowell Road and 74th Street to evaluate injured patients around 9:30 a.m., according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Another patient was taken to a hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening, and a third individual self-transported for treatment of minor injuries.
Westbound McDowell Road was closed at Miller Road and eastbound McDowell Road was closed at Scottsdale Road in the aftermath of the collision.. In addition, 74th Street was closed in both directions at McDowell Road, police said.
The intersection reopened in all directions by 12:20 p.m.
