Video gives first-person look at firefighters working burning home

When most people think of firefighters, they picture a group of people holding a hose, spraying a massive amount of water at a burning building.

While they do actually do that, firefighters also do a lot more when they’re battling the flames, as this video shows. Filmed by the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the video gives a first-person look at what these brave men and women do to protect buildings and people.

The video starts with firefighters being called to a home in Victorville, California. By the time crews arrive on the scene, the interior of the home is pretty much engulfed in flames.

Watch as the firefighters work inside and outside the home to stop the flames. They spray hoses and cut holes in the ceiling to provide ventilation. It took them about 30 minutes to put out the blaze.

The video said there was about $200,000 in damage caused, but no one was injured and the fire only spread to one other home. A dog was also saved.

All in a day’s work as a firefighter.
