1 killed, 3 seriously injured in shooting in far West Valley

One person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a shooting in the far West Valley on Sunday, authorities said.

PHOENIX – One person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a shooting in the far West Valley on Sunday, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a shooting call in the Tonopah area near 438th Avenue and Indian School around 5 p.m. and found four gunshot victims, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

One adult was pronounced dead at the scene and three people — an adult and two juveniles — were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

MCSO said there were no outstanding suspects or threats to the community.

Authorities have not released any information about what led to the gunfire.

The investigation is ongoing.
