Poolhouse Group, the family business behind Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup and The Green Woodpecker, is preparing to open a new concept – Poolboy Taco – in a familiar space.

The taco concept will open in the Gadzooks space at 40th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood.

Gadzooks will close on Nov. 8 and will be renovated and transformed over a several weeks. Poolboy is expected to open in December.

The 2,100-square-foot restaurant will be redesigned to be a blend of “festival energy with midcentury, poolside nostalgia,” according to a restaurant announcement.
