Fantasy 5 ticket from southern Arizona hits $174,000 jackpot

PHOENIX — One lucky Arizonan had a spookily lucky Halloween by winning a $174,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

The winning numbers from Friday’s drawing were 1, 6, 30, 31 and 33.

The winning ticket was sold at a Safeway in Green Valley, an unincorporated community in Pima County. It’s around 30 miles south of Tucson.

How much is the next Fantasy 5 jackpot?

The next jackpot drawing, which is Monday night, gives Arizona Lottery players the chance to win $52,000.

Fantasy 5 is a daily Arizona Lottery game of chance. Tickets, which cost $1 per entry, can be purchased at more than 3,000 retailers statewide.

The odds of winning the top Fantasy 5 prize are one in about 750,000.

Monday’s news marked the first big Arizona Lottery win of November. Last month, a Mega Millions player won $2 million with a ticket purchased at a Circle K store in Prescott Valley.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawings to cash in their tickets.
