Homicide investigation underway after north Phoenix shooting leaves 17-year-old dead
A homicide investigation is underway after a fatal shooting in north Phoenix on Tuesday left 17-year-old Marki Terril Anthony dead, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A 17-year-old boy died after a north Phoenix shooting on Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 12th Street and Bell Road around 9:20 p.m.
They found Marki Terril Anthony suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The Phoenix Fire Department came to the scene and brought Anthony to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he died from his injuries.
Homicide investigation underway after minor dies from north Phoenix shooting
Homicide detectives arrived to process the scene. They canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance videos.
The Office of the Medical Examiner took custody of Anthony’s remains. Results of the postmortem examination haven’t yet been made public.
