PHOENIX — Three women are in the hospital after a multivehicle crash in central Phoenix on Wednesday night, authorities said.
Fire crews were dispatched to the intersection of Seventh Street and McDowell Road for reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles around 8:30 p.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Phoenix fire said that there were four people hurt in the crash, two of whom had to be extricated.
One female occupant was taken to the hospital in “extremely critical condition.” Two others were transported to the hospital in critical and stable condition, respectively, according to Phoenix fire.
The fourth woman allegedly refused transport.
The Phoenix Police Department said the area around Seventh Street and McDowell Road will be shut down for “an extended period of time” while they investigate the crash.
No other information was provided.
