Suspect in custody after deadly weekend shooting in south Phoenix
A suspect has been arrested in a deadly weekend shooting near Seventh Street and Broadway Road in south Phoenix.

PHOENIX – A suspect has been arrested in a deadly weekend shooting in south Phoenix, authorities announced Monday.
Ramiro Gonzalez-Rios, 51, was booked into jail Sunday on one count of second-degree murder after he allegedly admitted to shooting 43-year-old Antonio Trujillo, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The suspect’s bond was set at $350,000.
Police responded to a shooting call near Seventh Street and Broadway Road around 7:20 p.m. Saturday and found Trujillo suffering from a gunshot wound.
Phoenix Fire Department responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The shooter left the area before authorities arrived.
Police did not provide information about how Gonzalez-Rios was identified as a suspect in the deadly weekend shooting.
No other details were immediately available.
