2 people in hospital after being ejected from vehicle during crash in Mesa

Two people were ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Mesa on Saturday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Two people were ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Mesa on Saturday, authorities said.

According to the Mesa Police Department, the single-vehicle accident happened near US 60 and Power Road.

Police said, the car hit the concrete barrier at a high rate of speed and that both of the vehicle’s occupants were ejected during the crash.

Both people were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic detectives are investigating the crash, but need to wait until the occupants recover before questioning them about the incident.

It is not currently known if impairment was a factor in the crash.
