1 injured in crash that led to chemicals spilled across Mesa roadway

A chemical spill following a collision in Mesa has resulted in injuries as well as a traffic closure on Wednesday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A chemical spill following a collision in Mesa has resulted in injuries as well as traffic restrictions on Wednesday, authorities said.

The Mesa Police Department said the crash occurred near Sossaman and Guadalupe roads on Wednesday morning.

At least one person was wounded in the collision, but their injuries weren’t life-threatening, police said.

Police didn’t specify which chemicals were spilled on the roadway.

However, police said traffic in the area will be restricted for an unknown amount of time.

There is no estimated time for the traffic restrictions to be lifted.
