A child was hospitalized after a multivehicle collision in Phoenix on Wednesday, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

PHOENIX — A woman has been brought to a hospital in critical condition after a multivehicle collision in Phoenix, authorities said.

A child was also hospitalized due to the crash that took place around 4 p.m. in the intersection of Greenway Parkway and Cave Creek Road, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

However, the boy is in stable condition, authorities said.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, authorities said.

The woman who was hospitalized had to be extricated from her vehicle, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

No further details were released.

The Phoenix Police Department is currently investigating the scene.
