PHOENIX – An Arizona man was arrested last week for allegedly making an online threat against a planned protest, authorities said.

Richard Charles Bertram, 55, was booked into a Kingman jail on Friday for felony making a terroristic threat and misdemeanor threatening, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

Around 1:40 p.m. Friday, deputies were notified that Bertram allegedly threatened to shoot protest attendees in a social media post that included an image of guns and ammunition.

Records showed that Bertram was on probation for weapons charges, MCSO said.

Arizona man allegedly made threat before ‘No Kings’ protests

Bertram was contacted by deputies at his home in Golden Valley, an unincorporated community west of Kingman, and taken into custody after allegedly admitting to making the threatening post.

MCSO didn’t specify which protest was targeted in the threats. However, multiple planned “No Kings” demonstrations against President Donald Trump were held across the state and nation on Saturday.

Political violence is a growing concern in the U.S. On Saturday, a man fatally shot a Minnesota lawmaker and wounded another in what authorities are saying were targeted attacks. Vance Boelter was arrested for the two shootings on Sunday.

5 million people protested in the No Kings rallies across the country. The only violence was perpetrated by 3 Magats who tried to shoot protesters exercising their rights as Americans.

The sad thing is that these people turning violent because citizens are exercising their right to protest peacefully think that THEY'RE the decent Americans.
