Detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Phoenix on Friday that left a man dead, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Phoenix on Friday that left a man dead, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 9:25 p.m. on Friday near 18th Avenue and Indian School Road and involved a pedestrian, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Details on fatal collision that left man dead
Officers arrived at the scene and found a man with life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to the hospital by Phoenix Fire where he died of his injuries.
Phoenix Police said that preliminary investigation suggested that the man was crossing Indian School Road when he was struck by the vehicle then was hit by more vehicles.
The vehicles involved did not stay at the scene.
