No freeway closures scheduled in Valley over Father’s Day weekend

PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation has a present for Valley drivers – even those without kids — on Father’s Day weekend.

The gift? ADOT said there aren’t any major freeway closures scheduled for improvement projects the weekend of June 13-16.

However, officials are reminding motorists to always focus on safety. That means wearing seat belts, avoiding distractions, staying alert in work zones and refraining from drinking and driving.
