Four people, including three children, were hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash Monday morning in downtown Phoenix.

PHOENIX – Four people, including three children, were hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash Monday morning in downtown Phoenix, authorities said.

The multivehicle collision occurred around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Seventh and Van Buren streets, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

A woman who had to be extricated was among four patients taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Authorities did not release the ages or genders of the three hospitalized children.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the crash.

No other information was immediately available.
